Tarcila Rivera Zea

Tarcila Rivera Zea is Founder and Executive Director of CHIRAPAQ (Centro de Culturas Indígenas del Peru), a leading organization that promotes the rights of Peruvian indigenous peoples. She has dedicated more than 20 years to the fight for the recognition of indigenous peoples and cultures in her country. In 2012, she was named to UN Women’s International Advisory Group on Civil Society.
